Although I neglected it somewhat as of 2023, the idea to write this piece came to me in the 4th month of 2025. If I say I don’t quite remember where I was or what I was doing at the end of last year, don’t believe me—since I was filming 60eksi at home, it means I was hanging out there and working on my projects. In past years, I had built a system based on setting items and trying to accomplish them. But I realized, years later (a bit late 🙂 ), that while I note these things down here, I never set a reminder to come back and review them.
So my first important rule this year is to use my phone as a super reminder device and divide the day into specific intervals. How, you ask? For example, marking everything—including working hours—with alarms, and making sure they ring every day to remind me. Because we forget, my friends.
Let’s think of what this could look like for me:
- 05:00 Wake up, light snack, and morning prayer
05:30 Recording a 60-second content and info video for 60eksi and publishing the first content
07:30 Going for a walk
08:30 Starting work
12:00 Lunch break and noon prayer
17:30 Finishing work and afternoon prayer
18:00 Content production for Burakbayram.me or “Burak Bayram” social media
19:30 Publishing 60eksi info and Burak Bayram content
20:00 Evening prayer, continuing research and development in line with set goals
22:00 Content research, night prayer, and 30 minutes of reading
Roughly, I need to set up an alarm system like this, and in addition, if I add new items here, I need to create a system that allows me to check them weekly and report back to myself later in the text. And I feel like I should use artificial intelligence for this. Because I don’t know how the future will shape, but most things are already being done by AI now, and we are the generation that has come to the birth point of AI—we need to take advantage of this. That’s why this year I should study AI very thoroughly.
Actually, my best way of learning is by creating an educational set and teaching it to others, but if I also do that, I might honestly need 26–27 hours in a day. I can create time for many things, but any more would start to eat into my time with family and friends.
Another point: I’ve started to put the **burakbayram.me** site into order. Even though most people have stopped creating websites, to me it feels like this: in a technological world, it’s like still taking notes on paper; in an even more advanced world, it’s like keeping a blog instead of making videos, and continuing to update a personal website. So I’ll keep blogging. About 5–6 thousand people visit the site every month. I can’t let those people down, right? That’s why I need to keep updating the blog, and also finish the English version and run both in sync.
Here comes my *“10 Things Before 40”* list. I finally brought that page to a finished state, and I really like how it turned out. I enjoy creating creative pages like this on the blog. Now, coming back to the list, I need to start and track one of the items from this *“10 Before 40”* list.
In this world, people need goals—if you try to move forward without setting a goal, you may end up going in circles without knowing which direction you’re heading. Have a goal, and in the same way, I too must have one. Because we don’t have much time in this life, and we must use it in the most valuable way possible. I won’t tell you which item from the list I’ll choose, but if you follow the blog closely, you’ll notice which one I start and continue with. Because I’ll try to keep the item I begin with constantly updated.
By the way, last year I launched my *60eksi* account, and on May 10th of this year, it will mark a full year. I must continue this account and grow it day by day with openness to improvement. One of my biggest mistakes so far has been running all the projects I started based on motivation alone—without discipline—and leaving them halfway. From now on, the top priority is to continue the account in a disciplined way. Motivation is important; it drives people to take big steps. But moving with discipline, I believe, is what brings long-term success. For now, that’s what I think. I learn most things through experience—and this, too, I will experience and learn, inshaAllah.
I think this much is enough to complete 2025. Because if I continue doing these things, unexpected opportunities will surely come my way. May Allah allow me to notice these opportunities in the best and most beneficial way, inshaAllah. Sometimes we miss the opportunities right in front of us.
Here’s a short summary:
- Set reminders on your phone.
Find a suitable planning app and try to use it.
Use AI more effectively. Research different AI tools.
Write one blog post per week on a topic.
Start one item from the 10 Before 40 list.
Synchronize the blog with the English version.
Define one big goal and move toward it.
Improve 60eksi in 2025. Add something new—like preparing horizontal (documentary-style) content.
Continue running Burak Bayram’s main social media accounts.
I think this list is sufficient. Maybe I can make it a bit more niche:
- Prepare one piece of content every three days on your main social media accounts about Japan or the places you’ve visited in recent years. If you have more time, you can prepare more.
The topic you write about on the blog could even be that week’s 60eksi report. Or you could write about a page you created using AI. For example, you could turn into writing how you created the page called My Annual Diaries.
Since your phone is always with you, the app you use for reminders should be Apple’s Calendar app.
Set up the reminders I wrote above on your phone by April 7, 2025, 22:00. Even plan the exact time when you’ll set them up. (Planned.)
As for AI, I haven’t found a niche topic yet—that one will take shape according to needs. So I’m canceling it for now.
I tried to explain what I did in two ways. Because if you’re reading this, there’s a 50% chance you’ll also want to prepare a goal list like this. I think seeing what mistakes I made and how I solved them will make your job easier.
Lastly: don’t share your goals with everyone. Do them, complete them, and only share if it makes sense to do so. Otherwise, don’t share at all—it’s better that way.
It has already been three months since we entered 2025, and now we’re in the fourth month, but I think this turned out to be a good piece. Even if I lived to 330, it would still be a year where I learned new things. May Allah grant us more fruitful and beautiful years, in the best and most beneficial way, inshaAllah.
So then, stay safe and in good health, and may Allah protect you.
