60 eksi
“60 eksi” is a digital content initiative focused on delivering short, fast, capsule-style news about the daily agenda in under 60 seconds. It is published in vertical video format on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
All Content
The news we share daily in bullet points can also be followed day by day in text form on our website. You can access the 60eksi category, where these articles are published, from here.
Why 60eksi
In the world we live in today, people tend to gravitate toward faster and more efficient content while browsing social media. Instead of searching one by one, having content presented to them all at once makes it more valuable.

Let’s take a look together at the data from the 23rd day after the founding of 60eksi:
Since I also work as a social media specialist, keeping such data at intervals can be useful for me in the future.
I should point out: the accounts started from scratch. In other words, there were no previous followers or subscribers.
-
On Instagram, in the first 23 days we gained 1,177 followers and 224,000 views.
-
On TikTok, we gained 1,951 followers and 325,000 views.
-
On YouTube, we gained 1,957 subscribers and 161,000 views.
Based on this data, we can make an 8-point summary:
-
If your idea is good and you can maintain consistency, the chances of the content not succeeding are almost nonexistent.
-
On YouTube, Shorts videos bring in 20x more subscribers. So if I wanted to start a YouTube channel now to monetize, I’d first grow it with vertical videos and then switch to horizontal content.
-
The future of a video is determined within the first 30 minutes after it’s published. In rare cases, it may hit the explore page 3–4 days later.
-
For 60eksi specifically, sharing one niche news item on its own gets 100% more views than giving 10 news items at once.
-
If you understand human psychology and keep an eye on Twitter Trends and Google Trends, you can roughly predict which content will perform well that day.
-
Asking people to “Follow” in the video increases the follow rate by 60%.
-
Presenting a challenge at the beginning of the video keeps people watching longer, which boosts watch time and therefore increases your chances of hitting the explore page algorithmically.
-
Finally, if you try something and don’t get results, it makes sense to change a few things and try again. You can give yourself 2-week intervals and then check the outcomes.
(Update date: September 22, 2024) – Let’s take a look together at the data from the 132nd day after the founding of 60eksi:
It’s been almost 4.5 months since I started 60eksi, and so far I’ve made 132 daily videos under 60 seconds. I’ve tried 2 horizontal video experiments and created 42 topic-specific content videos. First, let’s look at the numbers from this period and review together what I’ve done and what I haven’t.
- On Instagram, in 132 days I gained 17,363 followers and 3,400,000 views.
- On TikTok, in 132 days I gained 17,339 followers and 4,400,000 views.
- On YouTube, in 132 days I gained 8,862 subscribers and 1,095,136 views.
Looking at all this data, it seems like I’ve really made good progress. During this time, I also experimented with single-topic news. These performed better in terms of views than the under-60-second content—some even reached millions of views. But in terms of bringing in followers, they weren’t as effective as the short 60-second content. They only generated views, nothing more.
I also made a few visual adjustments: instead of 50% human face and 50% news graphic, I switched to 65% news graphic and 35% human face. Recently, I started adding my full name. To make subtitles easier to read, I began placing a black shadow behind the news visuals. I also stopped announcing the date at the start and now dive straight into the news.
My current target is New Year 2025. I expect to reach around 30,000 followers by then. I also have a different plan for the first week of the new year, and I’ll add a new update here for that. For now, though, I’m quite satisfied with the progress. Also, people have started to come together as a community. At the moment, I present news without commentary and only try to share clear, accurate information. On some days, I avoid covering news that might unnecessarily upset people.
Alhamdulillah, I’m happy right now and able to continue with determination. This is truly something that requires patience and hard work.
(Update date: January 1, 2025) – Let’s take a look together at the data from the 236th day after the founding of 60eksi:
It’s been a little over 7 months. Also, as we enter 2025, I wanted to share a new update. In total, I’ve made 237 posts in the format of “X day in 60 seconds”. That means I’ve also produced 38 other types of content.
- On Instagram, in 236 days I gained 33,118 followers and 5,500,000 views.
- On TikTok, in 236 days I gained 29,654 followers and 8,000,000 views.
- On YouTube, in 236 days I gained 10,480 subscribers and 1,404,748 views.
Now, when I compare this with 3 months ago, I see good improvement on Instagram and TikTok, but I haven’t achieved the results I wanted on YouTube. The reason is that while the average view count on YouTube used to be around 5k–10k, now it continues at an average of 1k–3k. This means it’s time for me to start making horizontal videos for YouTube. For that, I intend to prepare weekly technology podcasts. Similarly, for TikTok and Instagram, I plan to create 60-second mini documentaries and interviews. But I need to establish a solid program and routine for these.
Now I plan to split the data updates into yearly quarters. That is, Q1 for the first quarter of the year, Q2 for the second, and Q3, Q4—if I divide the 12 months into 4 parts, I can get a more efficient data structure. My plans for the end of March 2025: reaching 50k followers on Instagram, 45k followers on TikTok, and around 18k on YouTube seems realistic within this program. I even see a high chance of surpassing these numbers, but still, I kept the growth rate conservative for planning purposes. Generally, there’s a wave effect—meaning follower growth at 30k isn’t the same as at 60k. As the numbers rise, follower growth tends to increase proportionally with rising views.
But overall, that’s the situation. See you at the end of March 2025. InshaAllah, even though hitting 100k isn’t a very realistic expectation, I hope it becomes possible. 🙂
