What Is Gezgin Harfler?

In short, it’s a story notebook built by several people each writing 3 pages. Whoever has the notebook reads the story written by the previous contributors, writes their own 3-page continuation, and then ships it on to the next person.

What Is the Goal?

To nudge people into reading and writing. Spoken words fade; written ones stay. Most people don’t keep a journal, don’t blog, and don’t feel comfortable expressing themselves. Writing actually helps you develop the muscle of communicating what you want to say. @enes.draws and I (@bybrkbyrm) are trying to raise awareness around writing together.

Don’t say “I can’t write”. I’m not a great writer either — this is the first story opening I’ve ever written in my life. All you need to do is take a single step. If you don’t, you end up watching everyone else move ahead. We’d love to have you join the project — drop a DM to @gezginharfler on Instagram.

How Do I Join?

Just message @gezginharfler on Instagram saying “I want to join”. When your turn comes around, we’ll ask for your address, phone number and full name, and have the previous person ship the notebook to you. Once you finish your section you tell us, we share the next person’s details, and you ship the notebook on. This continues all the way to the last page.
