Let me introduce you to a YouTube cover artist I discovered around 2008–2009: Alex Goot. The guy’s been steadily covering popular songs on YouTube for years, and his style — clean vocals, simple but well-produced backing tracks — is really easy to listen to. Many of his covers are honestly better than the originals, in my opinion.

I check his channel from time to time to see what he’s covered. He’s worked with artists like Sam Tsui, Tiffany Alvord, Kurt Schneider — that whole YouTube cover community. He has a project called gootmusicon YouTube.
