I made this wallpaper for a friend’s site, Karyotip.Com. The piece combines Photoshop CS5 and Cinema 4D, and I published the process as a sped-up speed art clip. Below is the final artwork and a quick written recap of how it came together.
Note: The original speed-art video for this piece is no longer available because the source YouTube channel was taken down. The final image and a short written recap are below.

The Process
- Picked a color palette from the Karyotip.Com identity: a dark base with vibrant accent colors.
- Built the background in Photoshop with a gradient plus several texture layers.
- Modelled / rendered a 3D element in Cinema 4D, then brought the render into Photoshop as a layer.
- Used Layer Masks and blending modes to embed the 3D piece into the scene.
- Painted in light hits with a Brush set to Screen; added shadows on Multiply.
- Finished with Camera Raw for global contrast/tone, then exported to JPG.
Notes
- The speed-art format is great for showing the whole process at a glance — the real working time was about 40 minutes.
- This kind of Photoshop ↔ Cinema 4D flow is very practical for brand-specific wallpapers and posters.
