My Third Day at the Microsoft Office as an MSP

After shaking off the fatigue of the previous day and recharging our energy, we said hello to the third day. On this final day, we didn’t need to travel from the hotel to the Microsoft office because the last seminars were scheduled to take place right in the hotel’s conference hall.

We started the morning with Daron Yöndem hoca, whom I already knew from social media. In this session, we listened to a brief overview of his life story, how he got to where he is today, and what he is currently working on. It was also great to hear him mention Levent abi (Levent Pekcan) from Teknoseyir. As a dedicated Teknoseyir follower, hearing a familiar name was a nice touch. Afterwards, Daron hoca gave us a highly informative seminar on Microsoft Azure.

Following the seminar, we checked out of our rooms and lined up at the hotel’s dining section for lunch. While sitting at the table and chatting with friends, the conversation suddenly shifted to the TV series we’ve been watching. Out of nowhere, we started brainstorming and discussing how we could write an app based on this concept. I didn’t even realize how the topic escalated so quickly! But that’s the beauty of these environments—they create a fantastic brainstorming atmosphere. Since most of the participants study engineering or similar fields, everyone more or less understands the technical jargon.

A surprise guest who wasn’t originally on our schedule joined us for the afternoon program: Funda Behince, the Marketing Director of Microsoft Turkey. She shared invaluable tips and tricks on what to pay attention to during job interviews.

Right after her, Mustafa Kasap hoca, who had been guiding us through this kick-off program since day one, took the stage. In this session, he introduced us to Microsoft IoT (Internet of Things) concepts.

The closing ceremony was set for 16:30, but Microsoft had a few surprises up their sleeve that extended the wrap-up a bit longer. They distributed custom notebooks with our names printed on them, MSP laptop bags, 365-day desk calendars, and stickers.

Honestly, these items felt quite small compared to the ultimate surprise. The “big gift” was that they actually presented us with the exact phone or tablet we had selected in a survey we filled out just the day before! And let me tell you, these weren’t cheap devices either.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Microsoft on my own behalf. It was an unforgettable weekend!
