I want to tell you about a YouTube channel featuring Koreans who live in Korea but speak Turkish. At one point, I was really wrapped up in Korean culture and K-dramas. Back in 2012–2013, I watched around 60 to 70 Korean dramas. Because they are typically single-season shows, the count managed to get that high. Since I enjoyed the dramas so much, I eventually branched out into Korean music. It felt a bit strange when I first listened to it, but over time, as my ears got used to it, it became just as natural and familiar as listening to English or German.
Due to this interest in South Korea and through some Korean fan pages set up in Turkey, I stumbled upon the Türkore YouTube channel, and I genuinely enjoy it. The fact that they put so much effort into speaking Turkish makes the videos even more wonderful to watch.
In their videos, they explore various topics like the differences and similarities between Koreans and Turks, as well as general Korean culture. Honestly, seeing a Korean person trying to explain these concepts while speaking Turkish really caught my attention.
Right now, I think they have about 10 videos available. They mention that because they work so hard in their daily lives, they can’t dedicate too much time to producing content. Those guys are truly diligent!
